Beautiful. Melancholy is one of my driving forces too, although it always feels odd to say so. I'm quite cheery, really!

This reminded me of a few lines from my favorite Rilke poem “Through the empty branches the sky remains.

It is what you have.

Be earth now, and evensong.

Be the ground lying under that sky.”

I feel this melancholy too but I am anxious to call it something else. Impermanence is how I see it and it is that but it is born from a feeling of melancholy. I hadn't really understood that until now.
